The Suffolk Kitchen is an independent restaurant set in the heart of The Suffolks area of South Cheltenham.

We are governed by the seasons and passionately seek out the freshest produce from what the season has on offer.

Our Winter 2018 menu is now available and includes Small Plate option as well as our normal a la carte. For our small plate menu, think 'tapas English style'

Brunch from 9.30 - 11.30 Saturday & Sunday
Lunch from 12 - 2.30 Wednesday to Saturday
Dinner from 6pm - 10pm Wednesday to Saturday
Sunday Lunch 12.30 - 2.30pm.

WINE NIGHTS - check back for 2018 specific themes!

Our popular Wine Nights run on the last Thursday of every month. With a wine tasting and supper themed around various wine regions or types.  They are hosted by Ranulf Middleton of Darcy Wine and Simon Davies, owner of The Suffolk Kitchen. The price includes 3 course supper, Prosecco on arrival and 5 wines to enjoy and rate over the course of the evening. £40pp.

The Suffolk Kitchen - Party Bookings:

Table information:

We are able to split our restaurant into two parts; In the ‘Slate’ area, we are able to accommodate a single table of 22 people or multiple tables to fit 24 people or groups of smaller sizes. In the ‘Wooden’ area, you can have a long table of 12 and groups of 6s or 8s, the area can fit 26 people on multiple tables. If you wish to hire the whole restaurant, we can accommodate numbers up to 50, but please call for further information.


For parties a deposit of £10 per-person is required to confirm your booking. Your booking is only a provisional booking until this payment is paid, and you may lose your requested booking date if another party pays their deposit before you.

Simon has been a regular face in The Suffolks for a number of years as he set up and still owns Moka Coffee House. Initially training as a chef, Simon moved into front of house and has spent a number of years turning around restaurants and bars for big corporations. The Suffolk Kitchen fulfils his dream to own his own restaurant bringing together his passion for fine food and wine and impeccable service. Simon is married to Claire and they have four small children, Alfie (10) who works most weekends in the restaurant, Emme(8) who is football mad and Charlotte (6) plus George (4) who likes to eat EVERYTHING!!
